Jaime’s Pick

3 Jan

Image

If you have been following Environmental Design Group’s blog you know Jaime loves furniture, fixtures and finishes! Jaime is EDG’s go-to guy with endless ideas and inspirations from various companies and vendors. With years of design experience Jaime isn’t afraid to think outside the box. Jaime couldn’t wait to chose another pick of the week and it only seemed fitting to kick of 2013 with a pick from Jaime.

Jaime’s pick this time was designer and builder Tim Thompson. Tim Thompson has been around the industry for decades and like Jaime isn’t afraid to think outside the box. Tim’s typical work ranges from a-typical raw edged counter tops to wood floors that seem to sway just slightly. They say the devil is in the details and Tim Thompson has seemed to consider them all. Tim seems to add small thoughtful touches to every design. For example tongue and groove joints, unexpected curves, leather details and unparalleled craftsmanship. Tim Thompson creates an beautiful oxymoron in rustic modern designs.

Jaime chose Mr. Thompson for his outstanding quality, creativity, and attention to detail. Jaime has had the pleasure of meeting Tim Thompson about a year ago and Jaime was blown away by Tim’s meticulous craftsmanship. Jaime particularly loved how Tim fused leather into the wood seamlessly. Finally, Jaime admires Tim Thompson because he isn’t afraid of any material.
